What is Flight frequency?

Flight frequency is a metric used to give members an indication of how many Flights they can expect from each airport.

You'll see an icon next to each airport when choosing your long and short-haul airport preferences (which you can do here). This icon indicates the frequency of our available Flights for that airport, categorized as high, medium, or low.

While the general number of Flights to expect really will vary on what airport you've selected, you can expect:

  • For Low Frequency - about 4—5 Flights per month from this airport.
  • For Average Frequency - about 6—10 Flights per month from this airport.
  • For High Frequency - Expect about 11 or more Flights per month from this airport.

For low-frequency Flights, we try to compensate by sharing more Getaways (short-haul) for the region, which is why we always suggest setting as many airports as possible for you to travel from.

Note: Long and short-haul departure preferences are available only to Takeoff members.
